For 13 years, the Onondaga County Medical Society
was proud to be part of "On Call", a weekly Sunday morning program
on WSYR Radio. Each week a different physician would appear on the
program to answer questions from the host and the listening
audience.This popular show was a
tremendous public service broadcast on one of the area’s most
listened to radio stations. The success of the program depended on
the willingness of physician members of the Medical Society to give
up some of their own time on a weekend away from family and other
interests, as well as financial support from medical organizations.
LaserView of Central New York was a sponsor
for many years and also provided physician guests for "On Call".
The intelligence, enthusiasm and communication
skills of LaserView physicians were vital to the continued success
of the program for a period of time longer than the broadcast runs
of such as MASH, CHEERS and FRIENDS.
The Onondaga County Medical Society is honored
to present to LaserView of Central New York this Award for Service
to the Society and the Community.
